The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14 (NIV)
A Word from Us

I'm often in awe at the implications of Jesus' birth on that starry night all those years ago.

Here is the Mighty God stooping down to become a man and dwell among us. Here is the Prince of Peace being born in a manger, to reconcile us to God. Here the Everlasting Father is fulfilling His eternal plan of salvation. Here is the Wonderful Counsellor who will put His Spirit in our hearts. Here is the true vine in whom I must remain.

If this is our Father, how do we live out His image?

By being present in community just as He was in humanity; loving others because He first loved us; living as stewards of hope because we have a living hope; and offering peace just as He is our peace.

This Christmas message is not just for Christmas. It conveys foundational truths that may guide how we live and grow in community all year long.

It's what guides me in my life, Korus Connect in its values, and our staff, Board, Community Connectors, Chaplains and Instructors in the work they do.

In such a busy world, remembering these truths doesn't always come automatically. Will you help others remember by being a living demonstration of these truths in the days and months ahead?

Our Christmas Appeal this year seeks to raise $50,000 to allow more children, young people and adults to receive God's kindness, care and hope - not just at Christmastime, but each day throughout the year in shopping centres, schools, aged care facilities and other community hubs!

More than anything though, our God wants to raise up a prayerful people who live out His image wherever He has placed them. To God be the glory forever and ever!

Amen.
